The Sylvania SY5S1021C-A 5-inch B/W 2-channel Observation System with 1 Camera provides convenience and quality in a robust and complete system. This system allows you to view up to two camera locations individually in full-screen or sequentially with its built-in two-channel switcher. With a weather-resistant camera featuring a built-in microphone for audio, the Sylvania SY5S1021C-A is a complete, self-contained observation system perfect for home or business applications.
The SY5S1021C-A's 5-inch black-and-white monitor is protected by a durable metal cabinet and includes two 6-pin DIN audio/video inputs. This monitor features a speaker with volume control for listen-in audio, as well as RCA audio/video outputs for connecting to a time-lapse VCR or DVR. Powered by an included 13.5-volt DC adapter, this monitor can operate in temperatures between 14 and 104-degrees Fahrenheit.
The camera that comes with the SY5S1021C-A utilizes a 0.33-inch black-and-white CMOS (complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor) image sensor with 3.6mm fixed lens, and achieves 400 TVL (TV lines) of horizontal resolution. Powered from the monitor via the connecting cable, this camera can receive a usable picture in very low-light conditions with a minimum illumination of 0.1 Lux. This unit features an electronic condenser microphone and an electronic auto-iris with shutter speeds ranging from 1/60 to 1/6,000 of a second. The SY5S1021C-A's camera comes with its own 63-foot connection cable, and can operate in temperatures ranging from -14 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.

Compatible with other Lorex video devices, when used with a time-lapse VCR or DVR the SY5S1021C-A allows up to two cameras to be controlled, viewed, and recorded all by a single unit. Users should note that the CMOS image sensor in the camera may become permanently damaged if exposed to long hours of direct sunlight or halogen light, so the camera should not be mounted or pointed directly at the sun or other bright-light sources.

The Sylvania VG1000 Digital Video Security System lets you easily turn your PC or laptop into an advanced video monitoring station. The VG1000 uses a single-port video-grabber that is compatible with existing analog observation systems to connect directly to your PC or laptop, and includes remote-monitoring software. With the VG1000 system, your PC can help you protect your home or business, record video evidence for security purposes, and more.
The Sylvania VG1000's video-grabber uses a standard RCA connector for video input, and a standard USB connector for output to PC, and uses the JPEG format for video compression. The remote-monitoring software allows digital recording of live video to your PC's HDD (hard disk drive), as well as remote viewing of live video streaming from over the Internet. Including a software-based, pixel motion detection capability, the VG1000's monitoring software features individual selection of security-alarm functions, digital freeze and zoom-in options, and password security protection. When the alarm feature is activated, the system will automatically dial the telephone number which you have selected and play a personalized alarm message, or send you an email notification. When used in conjunction with X10 wireless home automation devices, you can also set alarm triggers to turn on external appliances such as a lamp or the TV.

This unit achieves a resolution of 330 horizontal TVL (TV lines) with a S/N (signal-to-noise) ratio of 48 dB or better, and has a minimum illumination of two Lux for low-light conditions. The VG1100's camera operates on the EIA (Electronics Industries Association) scanning system, and includes a 56-foot connecting cable.
