Gitzo
The most versatile head in the Gitzo range, the magnesium G1277M is light enough to travel with, but strong enough to carry loads up to 13.2 lbs. The Gitzo G2271M LOW-PROFILE MAGNESIUM HEAD (Replaces the G1171M and G1371M) ... Designed to carry a maximum capacity of up to 12 lbs, the G2271M is made of high quality low weight magnesium and features an advanced built-in fluid system for smoother pan and tilts. The G2271 is not only ideal for photographic use, but also birdwatching and mini DV cameras. Unlike the G2270M, the G2271M comes with a fixed shorter plate. The G2271M also includes multiple spirit levels to ensure that the head is perfectly level, while the ergonomically designed pan and tilt handles feature easy-to-use triangular shaped rubber grips. For more convenience, the tilt handles can be positioned on either the left or the right hand side of the head. The G2271 plate has anti rotation pins to ensure the camera will remain perfectly stable when shooting in portrait mode. These anti-rotation pins are stored in pre-drilled holes under the head when not in use. Complimenting this is a redesigned large hexagonal thumbscrew on the bottom of the camera locking screw which now makes it easier than ever to attach and remove equipment tothe head.z

Their lengths are defined to achieve the lowest shooting angle with legs not extended but opened to the widest angle. Column kits are in Carbon 6X tube and also incorporate the components for the Gitzo Ground Level Set: machined aluminum Safe Lock upper disc, new reversible screw and new extensible hook. This is the most convenient way to update previous carbon fiber, basalt and aluminum Gitzo tripods to the latest specifications and development.

The "FLUIDE" professional Video heads are specifically designed to balance the wide range of DV, DVCAM and light ENG cameras with payloads from 1kg to 10kg.The head features separate pan and tilt, variable fluid drag control to produce smooth and repeatable movement without detachable stops and starts. A separate pan and tilt lock is included. The sliding camera plate, which balances the cameras, can be rapidly engaged or disengaged with the camera from the head. Incorporates a safety release to prevent the camera accidentally falling off. The "FLUIDE" has a factory fitted balance spring available in 6 versions, which cover the weights of today's digital and lightweight ENG cameras. (1, 2, 5, 8, 9, 10 rated springs) "FLUIDE" heads are available separately to fit a 75mm bowl tripod or in handy kits which include the carbon (G1388) or aluminium (G1387) Video tripods, carrying strap and padded bag.
