Rockland Colloid
Liquid Light is a gelatine-silver emulsion designed to be easily applied to any material. Use it to print photographs on wood, glass, ceramics, plastics, chinaware, fabrics, metals, stone, walls, artist's canvas, even an egg! Make salon-grade prints on the many handmade papers that are available, as a change of pace from look-alike, off-the-shelf photographic papers Printing with Liquid Light is the same as with black-and-white enlargement paper. Under an amber or red safelight, brush the emulsion onto the surface to be coated. Wait a few minutes for it to firm up, then expose with an enlarger or slide projector. Process with conventional paper developer and hardening fixer. The print will be archivally-permanent with a full range of tones from warm blacks to clean transparent highlights that reveal the texture and color of the material underneath. Exclusive Features: Designed exclusively for easy darkroom coating. Coverage of 1½ square feet or more per ounce. No fumes or odors because Rockland emulsions are the only brand to contain no phenol, whose fumes can be toxic. Contrast is medium high, approximately #3 grade. -

Photographers' Formulary
Produces beautiful rich brown images. The process is similar to the Kallitype process, but uses Ferric Ammonium Citrate as the sensitizer. This modification results in a print that needs no soecial developer, just a short water rinse and fixing. This kit will produce about 100 4 x 5 prints. -
Photographers' Formulary
Oldest and least expensive print process This process is used to produce pale white images on a blue background or the reverse, a blue image on a white background This is a contact print process and can be transferred to a variety of media This all powder kit will produce about 24 8 x 10 prints. -

Used without polycontrast filters, Liquid Light VC has average contrast (about 2.5). With conventional polycontrast filters, the contrast can be made to range from 1 (low) to 4 (high). For use with filters, the emulsion should be well dried after coating. It has all the features of regular Liquid Light-- easy applicationg, coverage of 1½ square feet or more per ounce and completely non-toxic and odor-free. -
Photographers' Formulary
This process is one of the most versatile and least complicated of all the non-silver processes. Two kits are available; one with only black pigment and one containing red, blue and yellow pigments. Both kits come with all the chemistry needed and very extensive instructions for their use Gum Bichromate prints are characterized by a long, open scale that is soft and romantic, but fine detail is not possible. These kits will produce about 25 8 x 10 prints. -

Print development with Solarol provides a new dimension of image control through the use of the Sabattier effect, commonly called "solarization". The effect is produced by re-exposing the print to white light while it is in the developer. With other developers, this procedure gives a dark, muddy picture, but with Solarol, contrast is maintained, sharp edge effects appear, and a beautiful surreal image is obtained. The results are predictable and repeatable, and you control the process just as in conventional printing. Makes 2 quarts of working solution. The tray life of Solarol equals that of the best of print developers, and it keeps for over two months in a well stopped bottle. With extended use, its developing action becomes slower, but its solarizing ability actually improves! It should be discarded when it is too exhausted to produce a good black with two minutes of development -
