This nifty device holds virtually any digital or film camera up to the eyepiece of any telescope to capture images of the Moon, planets, bright deep-sky objects, or terrestrial subjects. An improvement over existing designs, SteadyPix locks the camera lens in position at just the right distance and orientation relative to the eyepiece to achieve precise focus and centering of the image for afocal photography.SteadyPix attaches directly to any standard 1.25" telescope eyepiece with one of two felt-lined eyepiece clamps provided (for standard or large-size 1.25" eyepieces). The camera threads on to a 1/4"-20 pedestal via the threaded hole in the camera body.

Galileo
Galileo erecting lenses extend the reflector telescope's abilities. True astronomical telescopes will produce an upside down image. No erecting lenses, mirrors, or prisms are added. Having these elements in the telescope can cause images to be dim and or distorted. This fact makes terrestrial viewing (land viewing) difficult. The Galileo 1.5x Erecting Lens will turn the image in your telescope right side up to enable easy, comfortable terrestrial viewing.

Tele Vue
At NEAF 2008, Tele Vue was pleased to demonstrate a new 8mm focal length, 100 degree AFOV Ethos eyepiece. In addition to matching all the key performance criteria of its 13mm sibling, the new 8mm version is parfocal in 1.25" focusers with Radians, Plossls, Type 6 Naglers and 1.25" Panoptics. Further, its lighter weight and smaller diameter than the 13mm Ethos makes the 8mm suitable for anyone using a binocular viewer. Another application is for spotting scope set-ups with the Tele Vue 60 degree 1.25" diagonal. In comparing it to our 8-24mm Zoom eyepiece, the 8mm Ethos has the power of the 8mm Zoom and 83% of the field of the 24mm setting!

Tele Vue
By limiting the field to 60 deg. (a Radian = 57.3 deg.) and establishing a uniform 20mm eye-relief, Tele Vue reworked the Nagler concept using the latest glass types to achieve optimum full field sharpness, freedom from distortion, freedom from ghosting (for critical planetary viewing) along with a unique adjustable eyeguard assembly which Tele Vue calls "Instadjust" Instadjust was developed from the need for proper eye position for non-eyeglass wearers. It is essential, since with Radian's long eye-relief, non-eyeglass wearers would easily tend to get too close to the eyepiece, resulting in vignetting the field, just as you would moving out from the exit pupil. The click-stop, Instadjust eyeguard permits fast, accurate positioning of the eye to the exit-pupil with maximum suppression of environmental stray light. Instadjust is topped off by a soft (for comfort and eyeglass protection) fold-down rubber eyeguard and protective cap. Usual Tele Vue features such as full multicoating, blackened lens edges, parfocalization, and grip-ring complement the Radian line.

Tele Vue
Tele Vue is known for its in-house eyepiece and telescope designs by Al Nagler; our latest eyepiece brings new meaning to the term "in-house." The concept for this eyepiece was first proposed by Tele Vue President David Nagler, with performance parameters giving it the fundamental characteristics (the ethos) of a Tele Vue eyepiece: high contrast, comfortable eye relief and full field sharpness. Control of astigmatism, field curvature, lateral color, angular magnification distortion correction (technical reference), and low pupil sensitivity for daytime use were specified criteria. Following Tele Vue's philosophy of pushing the state of the art, long-time Tele Vue employee and optical design protege Paul Dellechiaie took up the challenge and designed the basic eyepiece form. Under Al's guidance, Paul tweaked his design to fulfill the original goals. While sharpness is inherent to the optical design, contrast is maximized through the intelligent use of flat finished baffles and ultra low reflectance, high efficiency coatings tuned to the composition of each element. At the 2007 Northeast Astronomy Forum, Tele Vue once again broadened the amateur astronomer's perspective on the universe and introduced a new observing experience; 100° of pure Tele Vue quality.
